Love: A Manifesto of Optimism

As affecting as is the image of terrorists crashing into buildings in an effort to take as many lives as possible, the image of firemen rushing into those same buildings in an effort to save as many lives as possible is more affecting still. The worst that evil can do is no match for the best that love can do.The …

The President’s Favorite Charity Shelters Pedophiles

For years now, various researchers have exposed the efforts of Planned Parenthood and its abortion industry minions to cover up the crimes of pedophiles while performing their child-killing procedures on underage girls. But now, a new study has added fresh revelations to that horrific scandal. Life Dynamics has posted a startling new report on it’s Child Predators site. Founder Mark Crutcher explains just …

Awaiting the Master’s Call

“Man of God, if you want to serve God and cannot find the propitious occasion, wait awhile in prayer and your opportunity will beak on your path like a sunbeam.  There was never a true and valiant heart that failed to find a fitting sphere somewhere or other in His service. Every diligent laborer is needed in some part of …

Planned Parenthood’s Grand Hypocricy

“He wears a mask, and his face grows to fit it.” George Orwell “The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons.” Ralph Waldo Emerson “And what sort of lives do these people, who pose as being moral, lead themselves? My dear fellow, you forget that we are in the native land of the hypocrite.” Oscar …

Why Not the Apocrypha?

It is often asked (usually by Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox friends) why we Protestants do not accept the Apocrypha as Scripture.  The answer is fairly simple and straightforward: Indeed, there are several reasons why Protestants, like Jews, do not accept the Apocrypha as inspired Scripture. 1st is simply a matter of historicity: the Apocrypha was not even officially accepted …

The Worst Sort of Double Standard

“Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, who draw sin as with cart ropes, who say: “Let him be quick, let him speed his work that we may see it; let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near, and let it come, that we may know it!” Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light …

Spurgeon on Prayer

I know of no better thermometer to your spiritual temperature than this, the measure of the intensity of your prayer. The ship of prayer may sail through all temptations, doubts and fears, straight up to the throne of God; and though she may be outward bound with only griefs, and groans, and sighs, she shall return freighted with a wealth …

Brazen and Perverse Wickedness

Is it possible Planned Parenthood can get any more brazen in their perverse wickedness?  Apparently, it is. A shocking new video released by Live Action today shows an Indianapolis Planned Parenthood counselor encouraging a young girl to engage in violent sex acts, watch porn, and hide her activities from her parents.

In the video, an actress posing as a 15-year-old girl goes to the Midtown Planned Parenthood for STD testing, after which she asks in a very general way whether she can talk to someone. The staffer, who had been processing her STD paperwork, agreed to answer her questions.

“I just have some questions about, like, sex, to be honest,” the girl begins. She tells the staffer that her boyfriend had suggested “role play” to her, and asks whether that was normal.

The staffer reassures her that it is, and explains, “People dress up … cowboys and Indians type things. Or, a nurse, and he would be, like, a nurse, or you could be the maid, and he would be some rich guy, and dressed all fancy. You try to seduce him. Or, you could be a dom, a dominatrix-type person, where you dress in all leather, or something, with the whips and handcuffs.”

The girl had at no point prior to this mentioned BDSM or curiosity about dominatrices, whips and handcuffs or any of the other practices and “toys” the staffer goes on to suggest.

The staffer then goes on to tell graphic stories about her own sex life (these are thankfully edited out of the publicly available video. She even asserts that the girl “needs” to read the contemptible “Fifty Shades of Grey” novel.

Once again: your tax dollars at work.

Parish Life: A Thomas Chalmers Reader

“There is not, of course, any difficulty in explaining the indifference of the modern secular mind to Chalmers, neither is it surprising that churchmen of liberal persuasion should lack enthusiasm for his memory. What is more problematical is the question why evangelical Christianity itself should have made so little of him these many years.” Iaian Murray “To know Chalmers is …
